Let's get this spreading on Tumblr so more people can play! [link]

I took a break from stencils and started sketching different Phantom of the Opera masks. That somehow turned into this. Every one of these is from some kind of version of PotO, including books, movies, and theatrical productions. Each version is only shown ONCE. For example, that little black one is NOT Gerard Butler's PonR mask.

So how many can YOU name? Don't peek in the comments when you guess!

1-3: Ratcatcher
4-6: Stagehand
7-9: Chorus girl
10-12: Manager
13-15: Patron
16-18: Prima Donna
19-21: Opera Ghost

This is awesome! Ok. No peeking or looking up stuff. I HAVE seen POTO reviewer videos but I might not get all the names right, here it goes...

Top row: Cartoon version, ??, Phantom on Ice?, Claude Rains, ??
2nd row: Jane Seymour version, Herbert Lom, Gerik, Charles Dance version, Kopit stage musical, ???
3rd row: Robert Englund, ??, David Staller version, Phantom of Paradise, Lon Chaney, Michael Crawford/ALW
4th row: Leroux version, Phantom of hollywood??, Phantom computer game, ???

Now you just need to add the mask from the amateur film "Erik"!

Gosh the white one on the top right looks SO familiar! Where is it from?!

I think my reasoning for leaving out the amateur film was because it was amateur. I was sticking to professionally produced stuff.

Have you seen it? It's pretty neat. But I agree, it's amateur-ish.

Oof, I only scored Manager. I'm familiar with most of these but couldn't name them off the top of my head. Time to go rewatch Phantom Reviewer!
And I give you major props for making this! It takes research and knowledge to stump me on Phantom trivia! So, bravo!

I didn't get the blue crystall-y one, the weepy bloody one, Phantom of Hollywood, the funny metallic one, or the angry-looking one on the bottom, next to Mystery Legends.

Blue crystals is the Takarazuka production of yeston/kopit Phantom. Weepy blood is from the American production of the same thing. The funny gold metallic one if from Phantom of the Opera on Ice (yes, there is such a thing). Angry one at bottom is from the first mass paperback of Kay Phantom.
