Strong, Fragile Man

Ahhhh... All done with my new Erik design. This started as just a concept sheet, but then I drew another bust, and then another, and then that eye, so I figured why not color the thing?

This time he's Leroux though and through, from the lack of a nose to the strong eyebrows. Yes, he's described as having them in the book, near the beginning somewhere. The only thing I took license on was the hair. Widow's peaks are just to fun to resist.
If you're wondering about the fake nose, he wears one in the book around the same time as the eyebrows are mentioned, I think.

I credit 's Erik design as the inspiration for this new look, including the eyebrows. Check out her Phantom and Sweeney stuff, it's devilish fun. ^^

And that thing on the paper? It's a highly amusing piece of Engrish I stumbled upon. It reads:
"I saw your sad
and your sadness is very sexy
Strong fragile man.
because this is love, maybe."

I laughed so hard, I just had to use it somewhere.

No idea what Engrish is? That's what Google is for. Trust me, it's a riot.
